This exciting event took place Saturday in June 1st, 2024 at the Walnut Ridge Airport. It was a day full of fun, community spirit, and unique experiences that attendees won’t soon forget.
A One-of-a-Kind Experience, the highlight of the event, especially for children, was the opportunity to enjoy free plane rides throughout the day. Local pilots generously parked their planes at the airport, allowing the community to experience sitting in an airplane and engaging with pilots about their flying adventures. Free plane rides were distributed through Facebook drawings and on-site drawings during the event.
Families gathered to enjoy live music by Lauren Gray and Ben Brand, setting a lively atmosphere at the event. Children enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities including face painting, flying paper airplanes, engaging in potatohead watermelon games, and more. Throughout the venue, retail vendors showcased their offerings, while food trucks served up delicious treats to satisfy appetites. The day began with a healthy and active 5K, ensuring everyone started the event on a positive note.
